How to install OSM PLAYER on a Samsung TV
Samsung Smart TVs run Tizen, and OSM PLAYER is published for it, so there is nothing to sideload and no USB stick to prepare. All you need is the TV connected to the internet and its remote.
- 1
Open Apps
Press the Home button on your Samsung remote and open Apps.
- 2
Search for OSM PLAYER
Choose the search icon, type “OSM PLAYER” and open the app's page.
- 3
Install and open it
Select Install, then Open. The start screen shows your MAC address, your 6-digit device key and a QR code, and your free trial begins.
Add your playlist from your phone
Typing a long playlist address with a TV remote is slow, so OSM PLAYER lets you do it on your phone. Scan the QR code on the TV: it opens your TV's page on this site, already signed in. You can also open Manage playlist in any browser and type the MAC address and device key shown on the TV.
Then choose the playlist type. For Xtream Codes, enter the server URL, username and password your provider gave you. For an M3U playlist, paste the link. Press Test connection to check the details, save, and press Refresh on the TV. Your channels load in seconds.
What you get on your Samsung TV
OSM PLAYER is built for the big screen and the remote, not adapted from a phone app.
- Live TV by category, with what's on now and next from the guide (EPG), and instant zapping with the remote.
- Films and series with posters, ratings, seasons and episodes when your provider sends them over Xtream Codes.
- Several playlists on one TV, for example one per provider, each one optionally locked with a PIN so nobody else can change it.
- An interface in English, or fully right-to-left in Arabic.
Which Samsung TVs are supported?
OSM PLAYER runs on Samsung Smart TVs that use Tizen, the system Samsung has used on its Smart TVs since 2015, and installs from the TV's own app store. If your TV can open Apps and install apps there, search for OSM PLAYER. If you can't find it, tell us your model; meanwhile an Android TV box or a Fire TV Stick plugged into the TV runs OSM PLAYER too.
Free trial, activation and price
Every Samsung TV gets a 7-day free trial with every feature, so you can make sure your playlist plays well before paying anything. When the trial ends, your playlists stay saved and playback pauses until you activate the TV.
Activation is for one device, for a year or for life, and it never renews by itself. Open Activate, enter the MAC address from the TV, and pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, or redeem an activation code from a reseller. Press Refresh on the TV and you're watching again.
Tips for a smooth picture
- Use an Ethernet cable if you can, or keep the TV close to your Wi‑Fi router: live TV needs a steady connection.
- Changes you make on this site reach the TV when you press Refresh in OSM PLAYER.
- If a playlist stops loading, open it here and press Test connection: it shows whether the server answers and whether your account is still active.
- OSM PLAYER is only a player. The channels and films come from your own provider, so missing channels or buffering on their side are theirs to fix.
