OSM PLAYER is an IPTV player for Android TV and Google TV: TVs from brands like Sony, TCL and Philips, and boxes like the Nvidia Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box and Chromecast with Google TV. Install it from Google Play, add your M3U or Xtream Codes playlist from your phone, press Refresh, and watch. The first 7 days are free.

Free 7-day trial on every device · M3U and Xtream Codes · No channels included

Install OSM PLAYER from Google Play

Android TV and Google TV come with Google Play, so installing OSM PLAYER takes a minute and updates arrive by themselves. There's no APK to download and no unknown sources to allow.

  1. 1

    Open Google Play

On the TV or box, open Google Play. On Google TV, go to the Apps tab and search there.

  2. 2

    Search for OSM PLAYER

Type or say “OSM PLAYER” and open the app page.

  3. 3

    Install and open

Select Install, then Open. The start screen shows the MAC address, the device key and a QR code, and your 7-day free trial starts.

Add your playlist from your phone

Scan the QR code with your phone to open your device's page on this site, already signed in, or open Manage playlist and type the MAC address and device key.

Choose Xtream Codes and enter the server, username and password, or choose M3U and paste the link. Add an EPG link if your M3U provider gives you one. Press Test connection, save, then press Refresh on the TV.

TVs, boxes and sticks

The same app runs on every Android TV device with Google Play: a smart TV with Android TV or Google TV built in, a streaming stick, or a TV box plugged into an older TV's HDMI port. That makes a box an easy way to give a TV without a good IPTV app a full OSM PLAYER experience.

  • Smart TVs with Google TV or Android TV built in, such as many Sony, TCL and Philips models.
  • Boxes and sticks such as the Nvidia Shield TV, Xiaomi Mi Box and Mi TV Stick, Chromecast with Google TV and the Google TV Streamer.
  • Most Android TV boxes that come with the Google Play Store.

What you get

Each device has its own MAC address, its own free trial and its own activation, so a box in the living room and a TV in the bedroom each keep their own playlists.

  • Live channels by category, with the guide showing what's on now and next.
  • Films and series with posters, ratings, seasons and episodes from Xtream Codes.
  • Quick zapping and simple navigation with the remote's arrows.
  • Several playlists per device, each optionally protected with a PIN.

Activation after the free trial

Use every feature free for 7 days. When the trial ends, your playlists stay saved and playback pauses until the device is activated.

Open Activate, enter the MAC address shown on the TV and choose a year or lifetime. Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, or redeem an activation code. Activation never renews by itself.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Ask us.
Does OSM PLAYER work on an Android TV box?

Yes, on any Android TV or Google TV box that has Google Play. Install it from Google Play like any other app.

Is OSM PLAYER available on Google TV?

Yes. On Google TV, open the Apps tab, search for “OSM PLAYER” and install it.

Do I need to sideload an APK?

No. OSM PLAYER installs from Google Play, so you don't need to download an APK or allow unknown sources.

Should I use my TV's own app or an Android TV box?

Both run the same OSM PLAYER. On a Samsung or LG TV, use the Samsung or LG app directly; a box is handy for older TVs or TVs whose store has no IPTV player.
